Maintaining Friendships Across Many Miles

When we moved to Alaska, I was concerned about how we would stay in touch with the friends we have made. It isn't always as easy as picking up the phone or sending an email and sometimes you want to say more than just "hi." Sometimes, what you really want to say is "I miss you and I hope that the distance doesn't hurt our friendship. Please know that we still think of you often, even if we don't find the time to talk very often," and that's how this scarf and brooch set came to be.
