A Day-Hike In Sitka

Our friend, Cassidy, and I went on a hike along with his Burmese mountain dog, Hrothgar, on Memorial Day because it was a truly lovely day and we both were driven to to take in some scenery and enjoy the weather. When we started out, we intended for it to be no more than 4 miles or so, round-trip. What we ended up doing was a 9-mile round-trip hike along Indian River that gradually climbs up the mountain to a really cool waterfall. And we were moving fast, so we did the entire round trip in just over 4 hours. It was just beautiful. And now grainy pictures taken with my iPhone:

We got back to the car just after 10pm and all three of us were ready to shower and pass out. It definitely took it's toll over the next few days, but it was so worth it.
